ClosePlumes® Jr MOSFET Mod Limited Edition Small Signal Shredder offers a new twist on our original Plumes® Small Signal Shredder housed in a pedalboard-friendly junior sized enclosure. Like the original, this compact pedal offers tube-like overdrive with three distinct clipping voices, with a key distinction. The third clipping mode (labeled “M”) has been swapped with a new MOSFET clipping mode that produces a harmonically rich, focused overdrive with enhanced low end and a dynamic response similar to a modern high-gain tube amp.
Mode L
Symmetrical clipping utilizing a pair of light-emitting diodes. This is the crunchiest setting the Plumes has to offer.
Mode N
Clean boost mode. This eliminates the soft-clipping diodes altogether and leaves you with a straight-up OpAmp drive. This is perfect for pushing your clean tone out in front or driving the preamp of an already overdriven amp into tasteful breakup territory.
Mode M
We’ve swapped out the asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement that was similar to what you’d find in a stock screamer, and replaced it with a MOSFET clipping mode. This produces a commanding, open, and smooth overdrive that’s rich in harmonics and delivers an overdriven bite consistent with the sound of a cranked tube amp.
