ClosePhysical Condition
This bass is in good condition, but has been played and heavily modified and shows a bit of wear. First and foremost, the finish has been sanded down on the top half of the top of the bass. It seems as if the sanding was done with extremely fine grit sandpaper, as the sanded finish is extremely smooth and consistent, and there are no sand-throughs or apparent low spots. This bass has also had some modifications to the pickguard (see 'Electronics' for more info), and the original strap buttons (not included) have been replaced. Otherwise, there are a few light bumps and dents on the body, some scuffs on the pickguard, and a bit of tarnishing on the hardware, but clean condition overall. Otherwise, there is no other cosmetic damage to make note of aside from some superficial scratches associated with normal play and use. Overall, this is a great sounding and playing bass.
Fretwear
This bass only has some slight wear on the first few frets, but no other type of fret damage.
Action
Action is low and plays great, but may need a quick tweak to your liking.
Electronics
This bass has had some electronic modifications; the original P pickup was replaced, and the the Jazz pickup has been removed and only a cover is left in it's place. The P pickup is from a Fender Cobalt Chrome set and has had a solid black plastic cover installed, however, the matching Cobalt Chrome Jazz pickup is not included. Originally, this bass had a set of stacked volume and tone controls, which have been replaced with a standard volume control and a TBX pot in place of a traditional tone control. Also, instead of a traditional tone capacitor, this bass has a Mythos Selectable Tone Cap mounted to the top side of the pickguard. If the bass is to be converted back to it's original factory electronic setup, the original pickups, pots, and knobs are all included. All electronics work properly and sound great.
