CloseThis guitar is being sold as a PROJECT, and while it is perfectly operational as is, this guitar has had some modifications, including a full hobbyist grade refinish. The refinishing work looks fair, but was obviously not done professionally and has some issues. It seems as if the black finish was sprayed directly over the original cherry finish and shows lots of texture and orange peel, as well as some actual wear and tear that's occurred after the refinish. There are many areas where the guitar was sloppily masked, and it seems as if the guitar was refinished while still partially assembled, as some of areas (under the pickup cover, around the knobs, around the holographic Les Paul decal, etc.) were simply just masked off and sprayed around and are still red underneath. There are a few areas along the corners of the body, edges of fretboard, and around the edges of the headstock that the finish is dinged and chipped. This guitar has someone's full name carved along the upper side of the body as well. There are also lots of scratches on the pickguard, and some tarnishing on the hardware. The bridge, knobs, strap buttons, and pickguard screws are not original, and the original parts are not included. Otherwise, this guitar is in solid condition. With just a bit of work, this will make for a super cool project or player grade Les Paul!
Fretwear
This guitar only shows some light wear on the first few frets. Plays great. Frets and fingerboard could use a quick cleanup during the next restring.
Action
Action is medium and plays great, but may require a quick tweak to your liking.
Electronics
This guitar has had a Rio Grande Bluesbar pickup installed, as well as a bumblebee tone cap. The soldering is a bit messy and could possibly use a cleanup. All electronics work properly and sound great.
