VINTAGE 1972 Fender Telecaster Bass (222)

Physical Condition
This bass is in good condition for it's age, but has been played heavily over the years and shows plenty of real world wear and tear. The body is covered in many dents, scratches, finish thinning and wear through, lots of checking, and many finish chips, and the finish around some of the checking cracks is starting to lift away from the body. The finish along the corners of the body is thinning in many places and even worn through in some spots, and the finish has also darkened considerably, as the areas under the pickguard, neck plate, bridge cover, etc. are many shades lighter. The neck also has some finish wear, light scratches, and a few bumps and dings here and there as well. This bass is largely original, with the only replacement parts seeming to be the bridge cover and strap buttons. The pickguard shows many years of playing wear, and all of the hardware aside from the new bridge cover is heavily tarnished, scratched, and some bits have some rust present and there are some areas where the chrome plating has started to flake away. Otherwise, this bass does not have any type of structural damage, and there is no other cosmetic damage to make note of aside from some superficial scratches associated with many years of normal playing and use. Overall, this is a super cool player grade bass that plays and sounds great.

Fretwear
The frets on this bass are low and flat, common for this era, and have some wear. Some fretwork may be necessary in the future, but the bass is playable as is. Frets and fingerboard could use a quick cleanup during the next restring.

Action
Action is medium low and plays great, but may need a quick tweak to your liking, however, the nut has been heavily worn down over the years and may need to be replaced. The low E string will pop out of the nut slot fairly easily, and the G string very slightly buzzes against the first fret. 

Electronics
All electronics are original in this bass; both the volume and tone controls are operational but are intermittently scratchy and could use a quick shot of contact cleaner.
