VINTAGE 1959 Gibson LG-1 (408)

Physical Condition
This guitar is in fair condition for it's age, but it has been played a bit and has some super cool, natural wear over the years. This guitar has also had some repairs and cosmetic work performed over the years. First off, the entire guitar seems to have been oversprayed with clear lacquer at some point; the guitar is more glossy than it should be, but you can still see a little of the original wear under the finish, such as some checking around the bridge and on the neck heel, a small gap between the pieces of binding at the heel of the neck, etc. This guitar has also had some repairs. All of the braces on the top of the body have been reglued, the bridge plate and bridge itself have both been replaced, there is a long center-seam crack from the bridge to the edge of the body that has been repaired, and the common 'pickguard crack' in the top that has also been repaired. The center seam on the back of the body is also visible but is not cracked. 

Otherwise, the guitar looks great and the refinishing work, while may not be preferable to the original patina, seems to have been fairly well done. There are a few light scratches, scuffs, bumps, dings, and some finish hazing here and there over the body, but solid condition overall. The nut, tuners, and truss rod cover seem to be original, and the binding is still tightly attached all around the body. Otherwise, it only has some typical playwear in the form of some light scratches and dings that a vintage guitar naturally gains. This one has tons of mojo!

Fretwear
This guitar has more than likely been refretted. This guitar shows some light wear on the first few frets, but plays great. Fingerboard has some light divots in the first position. Frets and fingerboard could use a quick cleanup during the next restring.

Action
Action is medium low and plays great with plenty of saddle left, but may require a quick tweak to your liking. It's hard to say if this guitar has had a neck reset at any point, but it's not out of the realm of possibility considering the rest of the work performed, as the neck angle is great and there is plenty of saddle left.

Electronics
This guitar has had an LR Baggs HiFi pickup installed. All electronics work properly and sound great.
