CloseThis guitar is being sold as a PROJECT and will need some attention from a luthier before it's gig-ready.
First off, the bridge is cracked in multiple places and while it will still hold tension, this will need to be repaired soon. The back of the body is starting to separate along the edge just above the lower strap button; the seam is open for approximately 5", but closes up cleanly. Also, while there is still quite a bit of saddle left, a neck reset may be necessary in the future if super low action is desired. This guitar has a humidity related center seam crack that has been cleated at some point. The soundhole insert is also a bit loose and won't fall out on it's own, but can be popped out easily by hand. The bridge pins are also fairly chewed up and need to be replaced.
Otherwise, this guitar is in player condition with plenty of real world wear and tear; this guitar is covered in scratches, scuffs, dents, dings, finish checking, hazing, and discoloration that a vintage guitar naturally gains. This guitar seems to be mostly original as well, but the nut may have been replaced at some point. Overall, this is a great sounding guitar that could be phenomenal with just a little TLC. This one has TONS of mojo and will make a great player with a bit of work.
Fretwear
This guitar has been played quite a bit over the years, presumably on the original frets. The frets have some moderate wear, and a refret in the future wouldn't be a bad idea. The frets are very tarnished and the fingerboard needs a clean up.
Action
Action is medium and playable, but may require a neck reset in the future if super low action is desired.
